Why Is Trump Surrounding Himself With Sexual Predators?

It's more than birds of a feather. Trump wants to ensure their loyalty.

Matt Gaetz. Pete Hegseth. Elon Musk. RFK Jr. Linda McMahon. The list goes on. Donald Trump has surrounded himself with sexual predators and enablers. These are deeply compromised and disturbed people. Despite feigning “shock” over the allegations pouring in, none of this stuff is a secret.

So why is Donald Trump picking pedophiles and rapists and assorted monsters? What is the thought process here?

It’s been suggested that he’s playing “three-dimensional chess.” LOL. Like Trump knows how to play any kind of chess. Come on, man. Who the hell are you kidding? Trump would struggle to understand the rules of Chutes and Ladders.

No, Trump is not picking the worst people possible to “game the system” or make his next picks seem less crazy in comparison. He legit wanted Matt Gaetz the pedophile. Matt Gaetz the guy who pays for sex with underage girls. Matt Gaetz the guy who snorts cocaine and dick pills so he can have sex longer with the underage girls he paid to have sex with.

We know this because Trump and his team of morons freaked out when the Senate didn’t bend the knee:

And when it looked like it wasn’t going to go well for him (with senators like Murkowski, McConnell, Collins, Curtis, and Mullins as hard no’s), Trump frantically called multiple senators and begged them to reconsider.

No one does that if that was the plan all along. You don’t panic and beg friends for favors, or threaten them with being primaried, or call for recess appointments, if you’re doing what you intended to do. Panic is never part of a well-thought-out plan

OK, here’s the thing. I’ve read a lot of analysis of why Trump is picking these people and why it’s going poorly for him. Yes, it was definitely a “power move” on his part to try and push House and Senate Republicans into ceding their constitutional authority to him. Straight-up dictator stuff. And yes, Trump picks the people according to the philosophy of “Make the libs cry” because everything is spectacle with him.

But I don’t think that was the core of it.

Trump is trying to put these people in charge of the DoJ and the military and other positions of power not despite their compromised history but because of it.

People this profoundly damaged will never be this close to the pinnacle of power again. They know it and Trump knows it. They will be utterly beholden to him because this is it, the brass ring. No do-overs. No second shot.

In other administrations, Cabinet members generally go on to do other Big Things. Is that really an option here? What the fuck was Matt Gaetz the kiddie fucker going to do when he inevitably washed out? Where would Pete Hegseth the neo-Nazi go after being laughed out of the Pentagon as a clown who doesn’t have the respect of anyone? Maybe RFK Jr. could get a job selling vitamins with Alex Jones after he gets a few thousand kids killed?

This means Trump’s most compromised picks will do literally anything Trump tells them to do. That’s what he wants. When he orders them to violate the law, they will obey without hesitation, not just out of an ideological commitment to fascism, but also to maintain their access to power.

And, for the more deviant among them, to indulge their darkest proclivities.

Who is going to investigate the country’s top cop if he continues to have drug-fueled sex parties with little girls? Who is going to question the head of the United States military if he drunkenly rapes another woman? Who’s going to look into a known Russian sympathizer if she hands classified intelligence over to the Russians?¹

That’s what fascism is: The rule of law imposed on the people you hate while you exist outside of it, free to be a lawless animal.

Trump’s new pick for AG, Pam Bondi, confirms this. She’s not a rapist or a pedophile (that we know of), but she is openly and obviously corrupt. She’s been caught twice taking bribes, once from Trump himself. She was part of the fake Hunter Biden/Ukraine corruption “scandal” cooked up by Russia and pushed by Trump, meeting repeatedly with Trump flunkie Lev Parnas.

Trump knows she’s corrupt and will do as ordered. Exactly what he wants from his Attorney General. When Hegseth flames out sometime in the next week (or less), his next pick will be just as compromised but maybe a little less rapey.

Trump and his people know that the only thing stopping them last time was the adults in the room who would not obey illegal orders. They’re not going to make that mistake twice. That’s what all of this is about. Never forget that.

We have to get Republicans out of power as quickly as possible, everywhere we can. And that starts next year.
