I have been screaming this to high heaven--all I have been hearing is how to blame Kamala and wokeism, which, as a Black woman, I find chilling, as if people forget how disinformation, the legacy media, bomb threats, and an entire host of other BS contributed to her loss as well.
The same legacy media that called themselves apologizing to the Black community during the lead up to Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday, who lately have been showing it to be meaningless.
I have to tell you: of all the people I subscribe to you are my absolute favorite! Never stop writing and use as much salty language as possible. I just started The Nation, The New Republic and The Nineteenth. I know I should drop the NYT but there are some good columnists.
If you haven't seen Jeff Tiedrich's ‘Everyone's Entitled to My Own Opinion’ I recommend it most heartily. He doesn't mince his words either and is very funny. He sorry of takes the Mickey out of MAGAs and how batshit crazy they are.
Normally I'd only give a thumbs up but it's rare that people reply to me (and that's absolutely not a problem, I kinda like being under the radar) but thank you. He is really good though.
I took the news apps off my phone on Wednesday morning following the election. I was that livid.
Any MSM outlet like NYT that claim that they just report news— no, you sane washed FDJT’s word salads and KEPT GIVING HIM FREE PRESS! Let’s not forget how the RW echo chamber of Fox, Newsmax and Joe Rogen/Megyn Kelly kept downplaying, mocking, exaggerating, lying and outright ignoring Biden’s policies.
They’re going to get their comeuppance sooner rather than later.
I have not even had my tv on for local news because the felon-rapist image will probably pop up. I have music in to provide background noise. This is not about THE PRESS. This is/was an attack on the US of right wing propaganda to help Putin seek revenge.
They do not represent “press” as a source of information, but rather a pointed attack on the truth.
I find it very informative to read many of the comments following the articles/ letter here on Substack.
I find an awful lot of talk about staying in bed, or getting drunk , despairing, or burying heads under pillows etc. I understand the sentiment.
One thing I am curious about but have no way of determining. Does anyone else have any sense of tRumper1s response in 2020? Did tRumpers say similar things in 2020?
Or might they have said “ we were robbed, we are gonna continue the fight until we win! . Just curious? Since I do not follow tRump supporters on here I have no idea. But I have my suspicions.
They still haven’t, and it seems none will . ( search ‘nyt greatest wealth transfer’ for one very lonely exception . . . I canceled my subscription )
There is a hell of a lot of work that needs doing. We see it every day, and there’s more we don’t see.
We have $154 Trillion in net personal wealth. Net!
We have the wealth to do great things.
That wealth grew $70 Trillion in the past 10 years ( see link above with links or search ‘us fed distribution household wealth chart’ - US Fed )
Our federal obligations are about $35 Trillion, $28 Trillion debt and $7 Trillion balance sheet reserves
The top 1% , 1 in 100 , have $46 Trillion per the Fed.
That group could pay off those obligations, and have $11 Trillion left over. Federal finance doesn’t work like that, but let’s hear that in Congress and work it out!
Or, we could have the wealthiest pay the $17 Trillion in the increase in that national debt account, and have around $30 Trillion left over for 1.3 million households.
2026 is watching and waiting. 30% of the electorate voted for a new monarch, a moneyarchy. The USA was founded to throw down monarchy, and I still am dedicated to that — b.rad
Blue wave in 353 days? Well the orange dildo says we won’t vote again. So, I guess we will see what we see. I do not plan to acquiesce to any of this crap - but I wonder whether our fellow county-people will accept the gaslighting.
I think “cockgobblers” is a good term for the “opinion” writers of the normalizing sanewashers, primarily NYT, WaPo, and equivalent, owned by rich elites asshats.
Even the ones who “endorsed” Kamala were tepid because they hate boring ol’ average Americans (and by extension Biden & Harris) and love them some TRUMP!
I will also call them pathetic coprolites (sad dinosaur poop), because they are no longer reliable (ie truthful) and are therefore imploding or just being strangled by their overlords…
One caveat, the intellectual language used by Biden/Harris didn’t reach a lot of less smart or less knowledgeable Americans, they did need to dumb it down in some cases. But agreed, the media really needs to report facts and facts-check on air.
You are 💯 % right. I canceled WaPo and NY Times, tho subs are not up until next year. It is infuriating how they're treating the fpotus cabinet picks. Plus, now we're getting "feel good" food and mood recipes, and entertainment bits, to obviously lull us into acceptance of oligarchy. Aaagh.
They know people want progressive policies implemented, if asked separately from party affiliation. We have got to reverse the Reagan on up assault on our poor population, our middle class, our constitution, and our rule of law. It's going to take massive community action, and overwhelming the legacy media enablers, and the right wing sources, with alternative, progressive information media online. We have got to get billionaire money and influence tagged for what they are - a takeover by greedy, care nothing for others, control freaks. If the economy really matters most to people, they are not going to like the fpotus years.

Hey, Alicia, I sent you a DM about something. :)

I am a huge fan of Jeff Tiedrich!!

And there are the games. And they keep track of some news. We are still taking the on line version.
But they are to blame for this.
I gave up on them and media news 5 years ago and don't miss a damn thing!

You are of course right. They. The Press. The WAPO & NYTs did this to us
I am feeling sick.
Time to climb back in bed and put a pillow over my head and eyes.
Maybe 50 pillows

😂 Me, too!
Tell me the USA 🇺🇸 understands that Team Trump intends to create a second genocide at its Southern border.
Has the country lost its muthaf#kin mind?
Here's a poem I wrote in the 90s. As you can see nothing has changed.
Feeding the Rich
We could have taught the poor
to eat their young,
except we needed them.
We suck the marrow
from soft bones,
and toast the blood
that keeps us
in our comfortable homes,
at dinner parties
where we speak of freedom.
I just “found” you all😁 With you and Substack, I feel good in the news department!
It's a great place! Welcome
Thank you :)
For ten years I have asked leading progressives to report the simple financial facts of the USA.
We are not in debt <uswealthclock.com>

They’ve truly failed the people.
"There are a lot of high-quality substacks (with less of a pottymouth than mine!)"
You can stop apologizing for your vocabulary. We don't mind at all, and it's a large part of your charm.
We didn’t realize MSM was already working for Russian State TV

As Democrats go, it doesn't get much more dumbed-down than Coconut Kamala and Geriatric Joe. First-term Obama they ain’t.
