If NYT sucks him off any harder, he’ll be paying them hush money. 🤣

I live about 15 minutes from where the shootings in Minnesota happened so I wasn’t going ANYWHERE on Saturday but they said close to 80,000 people showed up at our state capitol to protest. I’m proud of my state.

The next big nationwide protest needs to include gatherings outside the New York Times, WaPo, and Fox News headquarters. Maybe then they'll notice us.

Yes, all the propaganda organs need called out. In the case of WaPo and the Vichy Times, they are coasting on their old reputation.

We had roughly 8-11 million people at these "No Kings" protests. Funny how MSM and RW outlets breathlessly propped the astroturfed Tea Party BS but ignore the Indivisible/No Kings movement.

If a lot of Republicans end up losing seats originally considered safe next year, perhaps corporate media should wise up instead of bowing to Yam Tits.

The basic fact that the NYT and other outlets have to lie about Turd’s Reich parade is all you need to know about where their heads are at (Trump’s ass if you need an explainer).

THANKS - your article raised my ire against the NYT once again. I cancelled my subscription in 2016 or so, when the lies they printed, and the a--kissing, finally repulsed me. MSM is so screwed up in this country. There used to be some integrity but it's gone. The rich (dare I say WHITE?) CEO's get the obscene amount of $$$ that floats around during election campaigns, so of course they won't rock the yachts they hide out on.

I hung in longer than you. I was a regular reader since 1958. End of 2024, I finally cancelled my subscription.

Several reports suggest estrangement between the Mad King and his wife. Additionally, he appeared to doze off at one point. If true, even he found the whole spectacle boring. It would have been nice to see his overweight body trying to gain entrance to a tank! Such a waste of money, especially when he cut the budget to the VA. Some respect for our military heroes. I hope his bone spurs have healed.

Edward, not only did he cut the budget to the VA, but today I read on NewsNation that it is now okay for VA doctors to not treat people based on their politics or marital status! I am not a vet, but I would avoid MAGA doctors anyway, just because I would question their intelligence.

The highest estimate of the largest Tea Party demo was 280,000, across the whole country.

So, articles about No Kings could have noted they were 20X the size of the Tea Party.

They did not.

I have been saying for many years now that we have too many journalists using weasel words and trying to pretend that both sides have a point. We need words that display truth. Saying the the Holocaust was not very nice may be technically true but it does not capture the horror of what happened. I am sick of the velvet glove approach to evil in our nation. We need words that call out the people who are destroying our nation.

And that's why I cancelled my subscription to the Times immediately after the election. They spent a decade normalizing and sanewashing him, giving him free passes at every turn while relentlessly denigrating the Democrats and hounding them about non-issues (her emails! his age! her laugh!)

They were complicit in Trump's re-election. We told them over and over again that he would do to a free press what autocrats always do and (along with their colleagues at WaPo, the networks, and cable news) they shrugged their shoulders. Now their goose is cooked and they have moved from complicity to collaboration. Forget about speaking truth to power. Any more we can expect from corporate owned legacy media one thing and one thing only: pablum designed to placate the regime.

It's disgraceful.

Don’t know what I’m more disgusted with/about: that the NYT owns so much responsibility for the current—and ongoing—state of journalism and our Democracy today (and tmrw); or that I turned a blind eye to the grotesque subjectivity on display for YEARS, because…I don’t really know why, Cuz I wanted to keep my faith in a foundational pillar of good journalism for a long time? It’s been years, now, that I was awoken from that zombified slumber, and yes, there are some good pieces here and there. But this, what you so graphically illustrate in your (real, honest, direct, newsy and true) post absolutely disgusts me and fills me with rage. How many democracy-loving folk are STILL under the spell of the Grey Lady? Who subconsciously buy the false equivalency? The damage is huge and ongoing. Fuck the NYT (and WaPo, and etc, ad infinitum). Guess I’m just venting. And apologizing for my part. Thank you for what you do.

I lost it with them when they published the propaganda piece, by a right-wing hack (with no journalistic integrity whatsoever), called "Clinton Cash". One of my dumber friends (an ex-communicated mormon) reposted it and believed every word, because it was published by the Times. That easily debunked piece of propaganda was the biggest journalistic malfeasance I have ever seen. I cancelled them for that.

I am surprised that when the NYT people (no true journalist there) - actually type these hideous words, which are all lies, that the tablet or computer or whatever they are using doesn’t light itself on fire.

Such a sad state we are in relative to he fourth estate.
