Justin, I hear you loud and clear and agree 100%, RFK Jr can fk all the way off! My son Alex is 36. He lives in his own home with support services (covered by Medicaid), he works part time at a recycling center, he pays taxes, and basically lives his own life. He swims, bowls and goes on hikes. He is highly intelligent and capable, although social interaction is hard. He dies NOT have a fkn disease! This is who he is. You and I could talk for hours about this. Just know, I hear ya and I'm with you and Jordan.

You know, I'd bet my house that all those DOGE workers sucking up our personal information are on the spectrum - what are we gonna do about them? Or the Muskrat? He's TOTALLY on the spectrum, as is Mark Zuckerberg. When I worked in high tech, nearly ¾ of my coworkers would qualify as being on the autism spectrum. People on the spectrum may have differently-wired brains, but they have contributed soooo much more to the world than RFK JR's worm-addled brain.

So when's RFK going to target, oh, I don't know, maybe Down's Syndrome, or Bipolar Disorder? Can't have these deviant's running around loose, can we? (Someone would have to tell him that Winston Churchill was bipolar.) Or maybe perhaps target psychopaths? One of the most destructive mental disorders - lock 'em all up! Wait a moment, that would clear the decks of not only the Dear Leader, but all his administration and most of the GOP. Yeah, bring it on!

Let's not forget about the "disease registry" he wants people with autism to be added to, either. He's fucking DELUSIONAL if he thinks he's getting shit about MY son. I already told his care providers that I do NOT consent to them sharing his medical records.

Like many of the posters here, I have a high functioning autistic son. He works, he has a social life, he blogs like it's going out of fashion. He earned a good degree from a good university. This is the UK. The problem used to be with housing. We applied over and over again for social housing, but as a single man it was hopeless. Then 7 years ago he 'fortunately' fell very ill with stage 4 cancer. After 3 months in hospital, he couldn't be discharged to his previous (unsuitable) rented accommodation, and the hospital put enormous pressure on the local authority, who within a few days had found him a small bungalow, equipped with emergency pull cords, in a semi-sheltered development. He's happy there, only gets a cancer check annually now, and can stay there for the rest of his life. Now I don't have to wish desperately to live until he's 60 and would qualify for age restricted housing.....

Amazing that cancer opens doors that autism can't

Elon Musk is on the spectrum. Since Kennedy thinks it is epidemic and he has been in cabinet meetings with Musk, Kennedy and the entire cabinet have been infected. Will they be isolated? Will they be left to die? (Insert bad thought here). Have they infected the foreign dignitaries who have visited? Will those visitors go back to their countries and spread the infection and create an epidemic like the AIDS epidemic?

Yep all those prolifers and the people who screamed about post birth abortions will suddenly be A OK with ‘mercy’ killing of children with disabilities.

I think so too. Would-be murderers who want the kind of demented encouragement of their psychosis to acquiesce to that kind of policy.

Or people with crippling social anxiety disorder who have trouble leaving the house…what a drain on society. They would have to take my son from my husband and me from our cold, dead hands. We would put up a fight like our neighbors, bless their hearts, would not believe.

Finally someone has written a well reasoned, articulate epistle about RFK, Jr. (a life wasted). Thank you for providing this hard-hitting narrative about our current Secretary of Health and Welfare.

As someone who is a high functioning autistic i can tell you I could not possibly agree more with your sentiments. May Kennedy be forever haunted by the ghosts of the DECENT people in his family (RIP JFK and RFK Sr) so much that he has a stroke or a heart attack that leaves him disabled and in much pain for several years.

Lewis Black couldn’t rant it better.

Thank you for giving words to the utter rip-out-your-eyes,-veins-in-my-teeth rage we feel towards Kennedy and every asshole who put him in any position of influence.

I applaud your writing- I find it deplorable that RFK,Jr feels that he has the right to make statements about a subject that he knows nothing about, is in a role for which he has no qualifications (why did a physician who is a Senator vote for him in his hearing), and has demonstrated that he is an absolute imbecile! I have a grandson who has Aspbergers and Tourette’s, and the fact that RFK seems to feel that he has the right to define him makes me extremely angry.

I really wish RFK, Jr. a very happy eternity in hell. Since I don’t really believe that will happen, a miserable ending to his fucked up life is my second choice.

(I too have an Asperger’s family member who is making the world a better place)

In 90 days the republicans in congress has done NOTHING to behave like Americans … you know these guys:

Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden..

I always thought republicans were greedy and a bit immoral, but i never thought they were stupid.

Ogre, I'm enjoying your audio versions, but was really looking forward to your reading the article in the tone that the writing has. Your calm reading of the article in conversational tone doesn't do your outrage justice.

More Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder or Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation, please.
