I first discovered the repulsive worm named Yarvin about a month ago. I tried reading his incoherent ramblings (he is on Substack by the way. And a quick look at his subscribers and what they talk about will make your skin crawl and make you want to shower afterwards) and got a pretty good feel for the guy. I also urge everyone to listen to the Behind the Bastards Podcast episode on Yarvin. That one does have Ed Helms on a guest and that dude is awesome.

Everyday since I discovered him I will check the news cycle to see if anyone is mentioning him. He is ominously absent in any discussion about what is happening right now even though he is directly connected to all the major players. He is very good friends with JD Vance, for example. This is cause for concern. This little fuck is a direct threat to our democracy and needs to be tracked down.

Ditto. Yarvin's substack Dark Mirror is worth a read--don't subscribe! And the New York Times interview:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcSil8NeQq8&t=2615s

This is a war of ideas of how human societies should operate.

On one side: Yarvin and Vance and Musk and Thiel and Andreesen believe in old fashioned monarchy/totalitarian/CEO dictatorship. They are smarter and more important humans than any other humans. Because they are smarter and richer they should be granted power. With their tech/AI/surveillance in control of 8 billion humans. Morality and human rights and personal freedom are irrelevant in the face of what they call "the common good". Which, of course, is their interpretation of common good. Which is deception. First and foremost is their control over other people. The extension of this fantasy is mass death of innocent people. "Grind up the unimportant humans for biodiesel to run our busses and jet planes."

On the other side: "We hold these truths to be self-evident. That all men are created equal..." The Declaration of Independence from 249 years ago. If all men are created equal then the Yarvin fever dream is dead. Shine a light on it. Bring it to the forefront of the public debate. Will 340 million American citizens give up their freedom to satisfy the egos of Vice President Vance and Elon Musk and their teenage basement fantasies?

I've tried not to go too far down their rabbit hole. It's depressing. Yarvin, like Putin, references history with his selective twists, to obfuscate and confuse his readers/listeners. Doublespeak squared.

50,000 years of human history show the nature of humans to live peacefully with peers or for the few to dominate and murder. Same with this cycle. Yarvin's bullshit is nothing new. Just dressed up with his slimy style.

The tech bro dictator wannabees rely on the serfs to be confused by Bitcoin and the crypto phony money. The Strategic Crypto (Tulip Bulb) Reserve at the Treasury is one of their tools. Donny has no idea of how this scam works, but Musk and Vance do! They will use this scam to steal real dollars for themselves.

Check out this tech startup, like Substack, an investee of Andreesen and pals. (Maybe better to move to ghost.org--see Gil Duran.)

Yarvin is one of the godfathers of this techbro fantasyland. He likes people to call him the "Dark Lord" and his movement the "Dark Enlightenment". Cute. For anyone who appreciates CS Lewis or Tolkien or Milton or Dante, when we encounter the devious, slimy, filthy, evil ones we recoil. The stench can be overwhelming. As Prof Ransom experienced, we must face it and stop it or risk allowing it to flood the earth with its devastation.

If you haven't already, check out Gil Duran and his substack and ghost.org

Yep, I read about him & his interview last year & thought his ideas combined Hunger Games with Handmaid’s Tale perfectly. I hope someone can do ‘something’ about these assholes!

The whole right wing fascination with Ayn Rand and her brand of selfish libertarianism feels surreal to me. Any time I see one of their idiotic stickers about Who is John Galt?; I realize that this is what passes for "intellectualism" on the right. The main thing that strkes me about Rand's fantasy world is that it only works for the rich technocrats who are healthy. The minute one is no longer self-sufficient (due to injury or illness), that person will be left to die. Rand writes long screeds about how one person's problems are never a reason to share your wealth. Eat or be eaten, basically.

Btw, the female protagonist in The Fountainhead is also raped by the hero, and, of course, she falls in love with him. Sounds like a personal problem to me, Ayn.

Sounds like a great place to go and die. I say let them build it. Then we can invite the coalition of the willing to come and bomb them out of existence. Problem solved. God I hate these fuckers.

Here’s what happened when “libertarians” took over a town in New Hampshire: they were over run by black bears and their own stupidity.

Sounds like the plot of “Elysium”. Let all the suckers/slaves live on a dying Earth while the rich folks get a space station utopia in the sky. The good news is, they get theirs in the end. I swear, the comparisons to Bond villains and sci-fi novels continue to be apt.

No worries. When these billionaires have a city and they are too cheap to pay people to clean up their garbage and too cheap to provide sanitation for the 💩and too cheap for any kind of housing except tenements the rodents will love it. Make bubonic plague great again! The rich were not protected against all the infections that plagued pre 20th century civilization. There’s infrastructure for a reason.

I can't wait until the "reality check" gets cashed for them. Not letting them back in? "chef's kiss".
