Thank you. I wouldn't mind so much if I was being replaced by something that did the job as well or better. AI will get there eventually but right now? It's not even close and that's a little offensive.

Not even close, sure. But a lot cheaper and the bottom line rules.

Plus it will get better so any “you get what you pay for” figuring will only move in AI’s favor.

All hail our robot overlords!

I know but the quality is significantly lower. And for lawyers, the risk of errors is high. Oh well.

Yeah. That surprises me a bit. Content writers and editors are going to get replaced. But I’d have though some of the more specialized, or high consequence if they get it wrong, ones wouldn’t be replaced this early in the inevitable transition.

But when has paradigm change ever come as slow as we expect/hope?

Deep sympathies to you.

Tip: consider exploring options in the nonprofit realm. There are all kinds of media-related jobs there which may be less quickly eaten by AI. And then you could aim for orgs that share your values and interests, which I suspect are plentiful.

I’m so disheartened by this and for you and other talented writers out there.

Enough internet for today.
